Floor coatings by
Why choose ‘Seattle flooring and construction’ to install a floor coating on your floor?
We have trained and experienced technicians that use state-of-the-art equipment to make sure your floor is coupled with the best product that the market has to offer while using methods that will ensure a fast, efficient, and long-lasting installation!
We begin by lifting stains, making necessary repairs, and diamond grinding your concrete. This is the part that may take the longest depending on the size and condition of your flooring.
Grinding the concrete
Our elite grinding equipment allows for thorough and fast prep of the concrete so that your epoxy coat will stick for the longest time period possible!.
After the grinding process is complete it is very important to clean the floor and then clean it again! and then solvent clean it to ensure there are no dust particles that may ruin the bond of the epoxy with the concrete slab
Patching and resurfacing the concrete and applying primer coat
Once the surface is prepped, your epoxy will be installed. Depending on the type of epoxy system you choose, it may take more than one or two days. After the coating is complete, your epoxy should be left alone for 10 hours before it’s ready for light foot traffic. If installing in a garage, you will need to wait at least 48 hours before you drive on your new floor.
Application and Broadcasting –
2-4 (depending on the preferred system) layers of Epoxy are applied by squeege and a roller- base coat, color coat and top coat.
Chosen combination of flakes is broadcasted into the color coat of the epoxy
